Patients may always ride with the service of their choice! This applies to nursing homes and hospitals.
What type of certification do your drivers obtain?
All AmbuCare Medical Transport, Inc. employees are fully certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs)

What is non-emergency medical stretcher transportation?
Non-emergency medical transportation provides ambulance transport services to patients who require stretcher transport in a non-emergency setting
Can my family member ride with me to an appointment?
Yes! One family member may ride with the patient.
What type of medical services are offered on the ambulance?
During your ride, an EMT will be sitting next to you in the back making sure you are comfortable as well as tracking your vital signs such as blood pressure, respiratory rate, and heart rate. We will also be happy to provide you with oxygen if you require it.
Will my doctor need to sign anything?
If your health insurance company will be paying for any portion of the trip, the answer is yes! Your doctor will have to agree to sign a Medical Necessity form to be filed with your insurance. He or she will also need to provide medical documentation that supports your being required to need stretcher transport.
